Dish KO ("the app") is a blind dish-voting service operated by 1971 Hook LLC ("1971 Hook", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
1. Your account
You must be 13 or older to sign up. You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for everything done under your account.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of every photo, caption, and other material you post (collectively, "your content"). By posting, you grant 1971 Hook a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and distribute your content as needed to run the service (showing your photo in duels, on leaderboards, in shared previews, etc.). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by other users before deletion.
3. Prohibited content + conduct
Our Content Policy defines what's not allowed — sexual content, hate speech, violence, harassment, illegal goods, spam, off-topic content. Violations result in removal and may result in account suspension. Repeated or severe violations mean permanent ban.
4. Voting integrity
You may not vote from multiple accounts, use bots, buy votes, or otherwise manipulate the outcome of duels or leaderboards. If we detect gaming, we invalidate affected votes and may suspend the accounts involved.
5. Sponsor content
Weekly challenges may be sponsored by 1971 Hook or by third-party partners. Sponsored challenges are clearly labeled. Your participation is voluntary and doesn't create any employment or agency relationship.
6. Moderation + account termination
We may remove content, suspend, or terminate your account for any violation of these terms or the Content Policy, or for conduct that harms the service or other users. You can also delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cascades to your posts, votes, and followers.
7. Intellectual property
The Dish KO name, logo, fight-poster visual language, and app design are property of 1971 Hook. You may not use them without written permission except as clearly allowed by the app (e.g., sharing a generated share card).
8. Disclaimers + liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranty. To the fullest extent allowed by law, 1971 Hook is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is capped at $50 USD.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes get an in-app notice; continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
